How tall do you want it to grow?

What part of Florida do you live in?

Most of the Bambusas will be fine for a privacy hedge. Buddha Belly tends to lean outward somewhat and here it grows to about 40 feet.

For a more upright bamboo you might look into Oldhamii or Beechyana.

B. Textilis will grow a dense close-knit bunch of culms and the lower culms will have no limbs to deal with once the plant matures.
