Matterhorn x picotee 2010

The seed parent was the pure white single Matterhorn, which was fertilised by pollen from picotee, all white apart from a delicate pink fringe to the petals. This one just managed to survive. The original cross in 2010 produced one fertile seed pod from which two seedlings grew. One of these subsequently died and the remaining one has kept me waiting for 4 years before producing a flower. I'm glad it finally made it, and although the picotee fringe has not survived, it is a pleasant enough combination of white and pink.
