A pic for you...

I do not have many 'new' blooms in my garden but this one, a Lychnis (thanks for the seeds, Tiffy) brightened up my spring garden. These were wintersown in 2008 and I think the wait was worth it. They are very delicate and a welcome addition to my northern garden.

:O) I do love that one. They are blooming in my gardens right now too. If it gets ratty looking after bloom just cut it back a bit and let the new silver foliage show itself off for the rest of the season. Cute one!! The Hummingbird Moths were going crazy over them today.

Thanks for the tips on maintenance Tiffy. The plants are are holding up quite well so far - maybe because they only get afternoon sun.

Gladys, the common name for this is Flower of Jove and I believe the correct name is Lychnis flos-jovis and the cultivar is Nana Peggy (Tiffy can correct me if I'm wrong).

Glad you liked it Piti. Would you believe I found a tiny bloom on one those Dianthus yesterday? Mother Nature never fails to surprise me.
