Use roundup before that stuff gets into your yard!!!

Isn't "Green panda" a clumping bamboo??
Someone told me to use a grass fertilizer.
If I buy the smallest container it will last 10 years but miracid has approximatly the same ingredients. Any reason it can't be used in place of grass fertilizer?

I've always read here that lawn fertilizer is best, after all bamboo is technically a grass. :) Not sure what miracid would do though. Our soil is slightly acidic, but the boo does okay here.

Okay, just looked up green panda, and it is a variety of FARGESIA RUFA.It is a clumping bamboo and will not take over your yard. I have one that was plaanted as a two gallon, two summers ago. This year it will be about five feet tall and three feet wide. BEAUTIFUL! I just use miracle gro or osmocote. Osmacote will feed for three months.

you left it outdoors all winter in a pot?

Yes. Half the pot was buried in the ground but it was even colder than -5 degees a couple of days on the coast of north shore which you probable realize.
Thanks for the advise on the Osmacote and miracle grow. I will try them and probable "Neptune Harvest "
