I am pretty sure it should be ok. I have some seeds sent to me (I don't know how long the person has stored it), but I kept for about a month or more before I started them. They started fine. About a month later, I started some more from the batch, and they also started fine.

Dave, may I ask how did you store the seeds? Do you place them in paper envelop and keep in the fridge?

From what I understand, hippeastrum seeds remain viable for many months, as long as they're stored well. If you're moving in a few short weeks, I'm sure it's safe to wait until after the move to plant them. I wouldn't want to chance moving a bunch of newly sprouted seedlings!

I'm not sure about the proper way to store seeds, but I keep mine in little paper envelopes, in a box, on a shelf, out of sunlight.

Hi Xuan, mine was sent in a paper envelop, and I just stored them like that in a drawer (not in the refrigerator).

But I live in Michigan where prior to this month, the temperature was cold (indoor it was cool and dry). In hot climate like yours, I think storing in a refrigerator should be fine although I don't know if it is needed. Perhaps in a cool place where humidity is not too high.

On the other hand, if the humidity gets too high, I think they will just sprout (in they don't get mold or fungy problems).
