How did you finish the top edge of the dry wall where it meets the rafters?

They probably placed the finished factory edge of the sheetrock along the top but there are also trim pieces you can buy for this type of situation (sometimes called a "J bead")

The finished factory edge makes sense. This was the last piece of the design for my basement laundry room. Now I can begin the remodel. Thanks

The strip above is what we used. We attached that to the drywall. The strip was flexible enough to move up and down to meet the rafters. After the strip was installed we then skim coated the wall to hide the edge of the strip.

In the end you could not see the strip and you could not see the edge of the strip. We purchased the strip from our drywall supplier.
