banana pup problem

I planted a 8 inch banana pup that i cut from the mother plant 3 weeks ago. It does not seem to be growing an the mother plant seems to be not doing so well. The mother plant is about a foot. I fertilize it with miracle grow plant food once a week, mixed in with water. I water it once every day. Why is it not growing, and can i help it?

If the pup did not have roots, it probably will not live. A clean cut is almost certain to kill the plant without roots. As for hte mother plant I would slow down on the fertilizer. Cut back to only twice a month. The tree may need to be repotted or may need more sunlight or more water. Check out these for suggestions.
