I am no banana expert, and I have never seen an Ele Ele. But from the pictures I have seen, I don't think so.
The Ele Ele has black on the leaf stems.
But it is hard to say when the plants are young as they change sometimes. Many bananas have red on the leaves when the leaves are young and then as they get older, they lose the red.
Did you buy it as an Ele Ele?

I got it as a trade last fall at the end of my growing season, so I put it in storage until this spring. It was much taller, but the emerging leaf from last fall would not come out completely and I had to cut it back to let the new leaves come out. I remember now that the leaf I had to cut out from last year was solid green. Thanks for jogging my memory!
