Hibiscus problem

I planted 2 golden hibiscus a few months ago (maybe too late). The plants themselves are doing OK but all of the buds drop off before they bloom. I have one in my backyard with the same exposure and it has a dozen or so blooms every day. It's a year old but blossomed all last year too.

Any thoughts?

Just a guess.... but maybe your plants haven't had enough time to acclimate themselves. If the foliage looks good, keep doing what you are doing... the blooms should follow.

One other thought... you might want to check your plant for pests that could contribute to bud drop. If they look clean, I'm staying with their recent planting and the heat as the cause of the bud drop. Hope I was able to help a little.
