They grow very fast. Most bananas do. Even my bananas are pushing a new leaf a week even though temperatures have barely made it to the 80s, and the sun hasnt been out all week. I would say if they suffer no winter dieback they will reach 10 feet early next spring, late spring the latest and possibly as much as 18 feet by mid july of next next year. Some occassional fertilizer wont hurt as well as good soil, and sun.

A newly separated pup should reach 3 feet by mid august making it about 5 feet tall in the fall. Good soil, temperatures, and plant food can make the plant reach three feet as soon as mid july.

Thanks for the input! The winters here are mild enough, as coconut palms usually don't take very serious damage in winter without protection. The summers usually have bright, sunny skies (like most other days throughout the year), warm temperatures, and downpours that last a few minutes multiple times a week, a typical SW Florida summer.

Sounds like they will grow at lightning speed for you. When temps go below 55 they do stop growing, but suffer no damage and will continue when temps go in the 70s. Fortunately your banana should put out new growth even during mid winter because temps usually dont go below 50 more than 2-5 times a winter.
