More Aggressive?

I have two kinds of bamboo in my growing area. The bamboos are Phyllostachys aureosulcata and Phyllostachys aureosulcata aureocaulis. The aureosulcata aureocaulis has been in the ground since last spring, and the aureosulcata has just planted this spring.

While I realize they are both from the same family and one being a variation, the Phyllostachys aureosulcata seems it will be more aggressive. Already it has sent up two shoots, and is sending out rather large rhizomes in all directions. I would like to maintain the grove where each plant is dominant on one end, and they kind of meet and mix a little in the middle.

Is my observation correct that the Phyllostachys aureosulcata is more aggressive than the Phyllostachys aureosulcata aureocaulis, or do I need new glasses?

P.S. My new growing area can bee seen in the gallery section.

Thanks.
