Hello everyone,

My sister gave me a banana plant last week. I'm not exactly sure how to take care of this plant. I've been doing some reading and from what I have read they say do not plant the plant in potting soil or yard soil. (We do have lousy soil). I have read that Miracle grow has a soil for citrus and palms. Since my sister transplanted this banana plant I didn't want to turn around and plant it again but I can't leave it in the pot for a long time either. The pot is not very big. In my yard we have either all shade, or mainly all sun. Any suggestions on what would be best?
