Transplanting Musa Basjoo

I have a 2 year old M. Basjoo (over wintered) that I want to transplant to another location.

Do you think it's too late in the season? I'm in zone 6B, first frost is about 2 months away.

I'm sorry I don't have the answer to your question, but I just wanted to comment on how beautiful your pond is. Makes my 50 gallon pond look sad.

Your pond is beautiful!! I would love to have one about that size myself. Hopefully in the next year or so, I'll get one in. I don't know the correct time for transplanting but I moved one of mine this spring, I think in May. It has done exceptionally well this summer after the move. And it was doing horrible before I moved it. Just from my personal experience, I would say spring is best.

Basjoo is pretty tough but considering you have about 2 months away...you probabaly shouldn't. I don't believe it will die but will probably slow it down next year unless it doesn't establish enough in two months and you have sever weather during winter.
I live in zone 8 and I transplanted one to a not so good location (shady) earlier this year and it is establishing so slowly.
