I wonder if the perception of the scent of blooms differs between individuals. I wish I lived closer...I'd come over and give Santiago a good sniff! I found nothing offensive about mine...no resemblence to even the sweetest cat's pee!

Well, my Apple Blossom with the very pigmented bud opened and it's just normal, not nearly as dark as Kristi's picture above! I moved her inside just before she opened so maybe she lost some of her color when I brought it inside. It's pretty anyway and of course it smells really nice too.

Donna, your bloom is lovely! I recall my bloom's intense color was the result of a very cool winter. Many of us commented that we had better colors that season.

My Apple Blossom is finally starting to open, at least it is supposed to be apple blossom. Maybe you can tell me if that is what it looks like to you folks. Sure would like to know.

Patience Martha!! The color can change in the days before it opens.

Remember...you are looking at the outside of the bloom when the bud starts to open. You don't see the beautiful colors of the bloom until the flower actually opens.

A brightly colored bloom may be nearly white on the backside!....this hobby is hard, isn't it??!
