Laura I am from So California (now in Camp Verde) we had one growing up, my sister had one that turned into this monster ugly tree, then she cut it down. I don't like the things they get tall and leggy. You might want to do a little more research before you make a purchase. But if you want to grow one in the Phoenix area I think it would do fine.

Mmm, that doesn't sound good. I saw some in San Francisco that looks really nice. I'll have to think on it now.

They grow well here in Phoenix, but can look pretty lousy in the summer.
