Can you post some photos of it???

Moso has been flowering. Does your bamboo look like any of these pictures?
Moso

I don't think it was moso.Moso sometimes has shorter internodes at the base of the culm and these didn't look like that. Also, some of the leaves were longer. They look like bambusoides .First year leaves small then second year bigger. The whole grove wasn't flowering, only about a 1/4 of culms were in flower.I have been to anderson moso and this didn't look the same.I'll try to go back and take some pictures.

my bambusoides is flowering too. i had not even noticed until i cut a tall cane the other day. oddly, not all canes are flowering.

Gene , if you go back, can you get a few seeds for me if they're available.I certainly would appreciate it...

no kidding me too :) i had 60 moso seeds coming from some guy in germany but he tried to rip me of some crap about my address didnt exist .

I don't know if you're aware, but importing bamboo seeds from outside the U.S. without a permit is prohibited by the USDA. I've been tempted a few times, but haven't given in yet. I'm not telling you what to do...just making an observation.
