Urban hive and lawn mower

Hello, I am interested in getting started in this hobby but am wondering about hive placement.

I live in a suburb and have a wooded outlot to one side of my home that is surronded by a pond and stream. The back of my house has about 30 yards of trees going up a hill to where other homes are. The other side has some shrubs and another house.

I have space near the outlot towards the pond but am wondering what happens when I mow the grass? The hive would be about 15-25 feet from the edge of the grass. Will the bees attack with all the noise and vibration?

I don't have much trouble mowing right up to the hive,...but then, I'm going pretty fast.
If you have a problem, just cut at sunset when bees are at home.

I too use a rideing mower and cut right against the hives I have. Even use weedeater right against palletts they sit on. One final note about this. Don't diddle daddle around. Do the job and move on.

Agreed, I keep about 15 hives in my back yard but the bee yard is about 250 yards from the house and when I mow I mow as close as I can then weed eat (in full battle dress) then I don`t go back to the bee yard untill the next day!
