Fuchsioides' leaves looks very similar to echinosepala's, don't you think?

it certainly does. i always have reason to doubt IDs when i buy plants, but i have a little slip of echinosepala that i'm propagating, and i think it doesn't have the red that this one does. also, when it blooms, that will be the test. i believe that echinosepala blooms white, and this one promises to be red. :)

Not many pictures of fuchsioides on the web, is there? The best I could find is at Hi-Mark. When yours blooms, post some pictures.

Read the article on 'Floribunda Rosea' above fuchsioides at the Hi-Mark site. Looks like a cross between B. fuchsioides and B. foliosa.
