Garden Center here, Eagle Creek Nursery has really nice Gunnera manicatas at $7.99...I bought 3!

Look for a garden center that has one of those pre-fab pond plant displays, where all the 4" plants are the same price. I overlooked the gunneras the first time.

Do they do mail order?

I checked, they don't a web site or email that I can find

If you find them, let me know. I went through Brecks for just under twenty each. One is growing, the other not. They gave me a replacement certificate, saying that they no longer can get them this year.. :(

i got mine from hirt's greenhouse on ebay....it's a bit small now, but was only a few dollars, and showing signs of slow growth

Before I found them at Eagle Creek I bought one at Hirts (they're just up the street). Boy was I ticked when I found them at eagle Creek for half what hirts was charging and twice the plant. Your's should take off quick, mine did (but the two from Eagle creek are much farther along!)

You should buy the ones at Eagle Creek and make a few bucks profit on Ebay...My Hirt's Gunnera is...well...dainty.
