Devil's tail? Persicaria perfoliata

Maybe Burr Cucumber or Passion Vine which would be more normal for our area.

When I click on the pic, the closer view is right side up, that helps. Can you confirm that the leaves have three leaflets (smaller leaves) on them? It sure looks like it from the pic. If so, that puts in in the bean family.

It sure could be a snail vine (Vigna caracalla) a popular landscape plant here that spreads pretty aggressively. It also could be a culinary/vegetable climbing bean?

You've got some other good suggestions too. Definitely post a pic if/when it blooms, that'll make it much easier. Let us know if you decide on a positive ID. We love plant mysteries!

When I clicked on the pic it didn't flip...weird. I enjoy the plant guessing game even though I'm almost never right.

And why is nearly everything I typed a link, LOL? So strange.

Thanks for your suggestions plant lovers. I haven't figured it out yet but it looks like it will have a bloom on it, maybe 2 weeks. I'll post a pic then.
