wsown aster
I think the aster I have is aster novae-angliae. I ws'd it last January 2009 and it bloomed late summer to fall of last year.
Earlier this year, I felt it was gone since I didn't see any remains or maybe I cleaned it. :D Now, it's 5 ft tall but no blooms yet. The lower stems are like old wood and hard. Is yours like this?
Also, I would really like to transplant many plants this fall since their height is out of order. Is it ok? Or should I wait in spring? Problem in spring is that I might not be able to recall what plant it is. That's what I did last year: told myself that I will be transplanting in May 2010. I failed because I wasn't sure about their height.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Happy Gardening! :)
