we have 3 they were all planted around this time of the year. the oldest is about 3-4 years and has gotten huge without doing anything except it is on a drip irrigation have to get the pruners to it soon.

Mine were planted around April, 5 years ago on a drip. The hardest part was keeping growth in check and shaped to look decent, requiring several trims a year. Lots of mess from leaf and flower drop. Beautiful for a week or so, 3-4 times annually when flowering. Finally removed them this spring to go with some lower maintenance plantings.
