just the one in my back yard. i have been adding plants to it slowly as i own about an acre of bog. i added some iris, corkscrew rush, horsetail, zebra grass, and a few corkscrew willows this year. i also found some rushes growing naturally mixed in with the cattails. my bog is bordered by mostly red twig dogwood and the leaves are not off yet to enjoy the red color.

I'm too far south in Japan to see real bogs but my little garden is nice and bright now. Here's my S. purpurea showing their stuff.

The weather has warmed up so that I've been working in my bog (totogan) the past couple of days: tracing and clearing channels, raking debris out of pools, laying out trails, developing springs, etc. There is something enjoyable about working in a waterway and in the flowing water.

Must be rather what a beaver (amik) feels like when he's working on his dam.

Identified black alder in there, smooth gooseberry, and some kind of small willow. Lots of other shrubs to identify.

Yes, and it was spectacular. But comparing notes with other carnivorous plant lovers here, I heard that S. purpurea plants and such have been disappearing out of one of the better known bogs...protected areas, so I decided I would not be naming places anymore. :-(

Your post motivated me to go out to Cranberry bog preserve in Riverhead this past weekend with my kids and it was spectacular!

Red maples, sassafras, grey birch, shadblow, scarlet oak all at the height of fall color. Also found S. purpurea, tiny little sundews. highbush blueberry, and prickly pear cactus.
