Weeping Crape Myrtles

When ever the tempuratures get 80 degrees plus here in SoCal my crape myrtles rain little droplets of moisture.

In the right light you can see them. I have only seen this when the temperatures are hot. I can't figure out what the advantage is to the plant when moisture lose would seem detrimental to it. Any thoughts?

80Â°C will kill almost all plants very quickly. Only a few thermophilic bacteria found in hot springs can tolerate such high temperatures.

This is not moisture! It is due to insects. Sometimes called Honeydew. Usually causes a sticky surface which attracts Sooty Mold. The temps referred to are in Fahrenheit degrees.
