I had looked for this as well. Many others on the list mention MiracleGro, which I have used with great success. Full and half stregth.

I found a real good site out of the UK that says Phostrogen is a good thing to give them, so I ordered it and will try it out when I bring my amaryllis out from dormancy. I heard the miraclegro stuff works too, but I am too scared after hearing all the horror stories using miracle gro for alot of plants. I stay away from it. But thank you so much for responding!

What horror stories have you heard? I've used it for 15+ years with no ill effects. My hippeastrum are growing huge and many of the leaves are nearly 5 feet long. I have over 300 pots and don't have problems. Maybe the secret is to use it as half-strength as is often mentioned on the list.

Yikes, what horror stories have you heard?? I am with Kristi, I've used it on my seedlings at less than half strength to start and a bit more after a year and just about full strength on my adult bulbs that are out in the yard for the summer. I've been using it for as long as I've been interested in amaryllis, about 5 years..I had one variety give me 2 conjoined flowers this season...hmmmm
