Minimum order woes.

I need to replace a MINNIE ROYAL CHERRY tree. Womack is the only place stocking this variety on Mazzard (Standard) rootstock. I only need this one tree and they have a $ 60.00 minimum order which does not include shipping. I have picked out several other trees to order if I need to. However if there is anyone who lives close to me that would like to order 1-2 trees from them I will pay the shipping to my place. There shipping season starts December 15th. They have a good reputation and stock Dave Wilson Nursery grown trees.

Well I went ahead and purchased....

Two MINNIE ROYAL CHERRY trees on Mazzard.

One ROYAL LEE CHERRY tree on Mazzard.

One NEMAGUARD Peach rootstock to graft my favorite peaches too.

Expected delivery date is Mid to late December.

With a little luck I will have cherries by the buckets in a few years and one multi-budded Peach tree.

How did your trees work out for you? Those trees on Mazzard rootstock can get BIG.

They all died do to either a bad or incompatible grafts. The Scions all fell off their grafts. Never had it happen before. I have read about it though in the Fruit and Orchard forum.
