Classic description of a plant going dormant. Semi-evergreen?

Even though it is going dormant it will still need a SMALL amount of water, just be careful and don't over water. Google the plant and find out how much moisture it will need this winter if you have no rain.

I grow 'Tangerine Beauty' crossvine too and its thicker branches lose their lower leaves eventually. That's what looks like is happening with yours. They're evergreen, but they do drop their lower leaves. I give mine a big drink every week or so in summer and then once every two weeks in winter. They're VERY durable, and almost impossible to overwater. As long as yours is getting a big drink at least weekly I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks very much for the info folks. All 4 plants seem to be
doing better...I did cut back on the water from the summer schedule and am seeing less rapid growth now...but I have a new flower today!

Nice flower! Definitely 'Tangerine Beauty' cross vine. Keep it watered and in sun and all will be well.
