Hello - I have been growing this plant and know that it is listed as a rhizomatous and dwarf begonia, but does any one know if Five and Dime is related to or even considered a super mini Rex type of begonia?
Rex Begonias are considered rhizomatous, Five and Dime has some characteristics of a very small Rex, just wondering if it is classified as just dwarf rhizomatous, or if it is included with Rex.
I looked it up - Five & Dime is classified as 'small, rhizomatous, with crested margin'. It's a Pat Worley cross from 1984. I'm sure he didn't intend it to be considered a Rex, the parents are not Rexes.
