i have a plant with the same ancestry as 'Emerald Jewel,' 'Silver Jewel.' (imperialis x pustulata). i find that it's not that picky--i had it by the kitchen sink for awhile and then moved it into a terrarium where i mostly leave it alone. i think i did that only after i noticed a few of my leaf edges crisping.
i think you'll find that most angelwings (these are part of the larger group known as cane begonias) are relatively tolerant to most household conditions. i think the excepts would be mallet-type canes--those with pink leaves such as 'Maurice Amey,' though many plants can acclimate surprisingly easily.
if you're worried about humidity (especially in winter, when the heat is on), try a pebble tray or some sort of terrarium.

the optimal light condition for most begonias, if not all, is bright and diffused. avoid direct sunlight but don't put them in the far corner of your house even though they are considered medium light plants. if you have it in a terrarium, you may want to consider using grow lights. my terrariums are just 10 gallon aquariums and i use my old reptile full spectrum bulbs in the fixtures. you can pick up cheap plant lights at most hardware stores.
as for watering, many people make the mistake of watering too much. humidity and soil moisture are different things, and the death of many a begonia is the result of wet feet. try the ABS site and its links to access more culture information. i also really like the houston begonia society page.
