Red Twig Dogwood

I gathered what I believe to be mature seed from my uncle's Red Twig Dogwood and want to WS it. Just wondering what to expect. Has anyone WS these before? If so, have any pictures?

I got some red twig dogwood seeds in a trade and summer sowed them back in July. No sign of sprouts yet. I'm guessing they need cold stratification the same as regular native dogwoods and the Japanese/kousa dogwoods. I WS those last year and they've grown 30" tall so far.

At the risk of being chastised, because this is after all a seed sowing forum and seed sowing is fun, you'd get new red twig dogwoods much quicker if you got cuttings from your uncle. They are incredibly simple. Just stick some cuttings in the ground and forget them. They grow as easily as willow and forsythia.
