That's wonderful!

Good luck on the project; I think that growing trees for the community is a gift to future generations. Bless you and may all fine and fabulous things come to you Werner and to all who are involved in this memorial tree project.

That's great! I am on the verge of winter-sowing some trees and shrubs myself. :)

I love growing trees from seed, I have a red Crab-apple I sowed about 6 years ago that is now a pretty tree even though the flowers are not the same color as the parent tree. This year I will be sowing yellow Crab-apple from seeds I harvested at the lake, and Kousa dogwood from seeds harvested in front of the library.

About 4 years ago I started a Curly Willow from a branch I rooted, and it's now 15 feet tall. This spring the seeds from that tree sprouted in a container, and the little tree is now 4 feet tall in just one season, so we planted that one too for some shade on the other side of our mobile home. Plus, I have saved a small one for a GW trader.

Great job!

We need to show the world how easy it is to winter sow!
