Go ahead with the systemic, but it will take some time to work. In the meantime, mix in a quart spray bottle 2 oz of Murphy's oil soap, 2 oz rubbing alcohol and the rest water. Add the soap last or you will get nothing but bubbles. Do not spray in direct sunlight, if they are outdoors, spray in the evening or early morning. You will need to spray every few days until you see signs that the systemic is working. The oil will smother them and the alcohol will dry them up, so either way, they will be gonners (at least for a while) HTH Georgia

Georgia is right! I used the same ratio oil soap (or even dish liquid will do in a pinch) to alcohol and water. And if you can, keep hitting with a hose (obviously not immediately after you spray them or it defeats the purpose!). Now that mine are pretty much under control, I still spray about once a week on the undersides of the leaves just to be preventative! PS I didn't have to use a systemic either but if things get bad this summer....

I love the look of this plant and hope my grow as beautiful as the ones I see on this forum. The weather in my zone gets very hot 100+ and really cold -10 to -20. I am going to grow mine in the greenhouse in the winter and outside in the summer. I am on this site alot searching for information and I glean tons every time I log on. Thanks again, Hummingbird
