That's great, SB!
Spring must have come to zone 7!
Sherry

Well spring was here... for a few days...
It was 90 degrees here last week, but now its lingerign in the 50s and 60s & raining.
Hopefully it'll get better soon!
The cocoons should be hatching in 2 or 3 weeks, usually they hatch in the middle of May. Cant wait!

50's and 60's and rain? That's late, late spring here in Michigan. We celebrate those temps by running around in our skimpiest outfits!

Martha

haha!
Well I guess we consider that spring... though I do prefer the temps around 70 :)

I am jealous...how do you get and rear all those saturniid specimens?

EVERYTHING youll need to know is on the site... including cocoons/eggs.
I have a membership, its $40 and totally worth it!
I USUALLY can't rear many from eggs, because I have NO foodplants by me, so I sometimes sell the eggs and use that money to buy more cocoons for the following year.
I also have a few big cages for them; I try to get them to pair in them.
