Hi Jeff, I lived life a little dangerously beginning last week or so when I tempted fate by setting out some hardier seedlings like blue sage, hops vine, and verbena bonarensis (sp?). I had to cover them up a couple of nights. They look ok. I didn't plant all of them out, just in case.

It's always fun to set out plants you were successful sowing, Jeff!

You're in zone 7, tho, and your last frost date is 5/15? Wow! Ours is 4/15. However, this year has been a buger for everybody who has gone ahead and transplanted or set their plants outdoors. We've had two late frosts, including one Saturday night.

It's just so strange that other zone 7'rs last frost date is later than ours in zone 7 here.

I'm taking the same risks with frost dates as you-but share your excitement about getting our starters in the ground ASAP( after hardening off).

BTW, since we're in the same time zone, maybe you can give me advice on lupines. I have a rule that if a given plant fails 3 times in a row that I give up on it. I've tried lupine three times and seldom got many to bloom. Any advice would be appreciated. I salivate over fields of lupine like I see in Colorado.
