Congrats! Where did you get the species name for your aloes?

My uncle brought them back from France for me. The name was on the package. Its supposed to be one of 2 types of Aloe indigenous to Mayotte in France The other being Aloe Mayotense. Which I also have but havenÂt sprouted yet.

Aloe from France??? I don't think they are indigenous. If they are, WOW!!! Great looking seedlings, I love growing from seed. I have 206 different species start as soon as I get another light cabinet built and then 30 more after it gets hot and 25 to start this fall/winter. Love it, love it!!

Mayotte Island is off of Madagascar, and is home to, as Julie stated, Aloe mayottensis (which I have) and the one that she's growing.

Then it's probably fairly rare - the Mayotte Islands aloes are not readily available. Good on ya!
