Epiphyllum ID? (pic)

Is this just some kind of generic Red Epiphyllum? I picked this up as a small plant for $2 at a nursery going out of business several years ago. Could this be a species? The developing buds look like Christmas light bulbs. Once blooms open, they last about 2 days. It's in full bloom right now and may open up a few blooms sporadically throughout the summer.
