Jade - should I prune?

19 years ago

I'm an inexperienced gardener with a jade plant that I have just let grow. Now its branches hang over the edge and I need some advice. Should I prune it? I was going to put a stake in the pot and tie the plant up and force it to grow up. Any advice would be appreciated
