Different species. Look at the shape of the tubercles, completely different. Also, one has soft twisty spines, one has sharp needles. And one has lots of bristles, one has only wool in the axils. Taken together, they are very unlikely to be the same species.

The first one looks like M. nejapensis.

Thank you for your help I will stay with Mammillaria karwinskiana ssp nepajensis, and wait until it flowers to confirm.
Alfonso

Alfonso, two nice plants there. The second one is quite interesting, I wouldn't have thought magnimamma var centricirrha though, even though spination of this species is quite variable... as is the flower colour also.
Here is a pic of my Mamm magnimamma var centricirrha for comparison... this is fairly typical of others I have seen.

CP

CP. I find this picture of Mammillaria centricirrha in garden web.
It was hard to find a name for the last one because the flatened tubercules and the type of spination. Do you have a different sugestion??

Here is a link that might be useful: M. centricirrha

I think its a Mammillaria compressa, another very variable species.

Al, the magnimamma and compressa "groups" of Mamms are highly variable, particularly when you consider the long list of synonyms now included in both species. (BTW, desert tropicals lists centricirrha as a species in its own right, as well as a synonym of magnimamma!!, and I can't even find a reference to it on mammillarias.net)
I happen to agree with s&b as there are a number of forms, that have quite tortuous (twisty) spines.
I think you have a lovely plant there, be prepared, it can grow into a huge clump...:)
