Light needs or best season or starting seeds? Seed source?

I am new to the forums. I am moving in about a week and will finally have enough room for all of my plant growing needs! Yay!

Is there a preferred or better time of year to start cacti or succulent seeds indoors? Light/Heat needs? Can anyone tell me sources (companies, etc) for cacti and succulent seeds?
