OMG Now that's a really special looking bloom. Please tell me the yellow mottling remains as the bloom matures? It looks nothing like the bloom in the CG catalog and I honestly like yours better. I'm a sucker for mottled and bicolor blooms and with brugs there's very few.

Amazingly beautiful CB! I got a Honeymoon from my SS person. I hope I get it to the point where yours is.

    CB,
I went to order that pretty pink "Honeymoon" and the pic on the website does not look anything like your beauty, either in form or color.
    What have you fed it?
Could I get you to check the name tag again please, please, please?
I don't like the one they have in/on the website with that name

Yes Honeymoon is a single very light in color nothing like this.

Honeymoon is a double but it's shown as a very light pink color on the CG website. CB's plant is much more interesting.

Sorry about that pic's I saw on ebay looked single but I look at so many but this sure doesn't look like it

It's still beautiful. Interesting how the yellow went white. I wonder if maybe it will continue to lighten and look more like the catalog pic?

I received my Honeymoon from CG a couple of weeks ago. It immediately started setting buds (6) but all but one fell off. The one lonely bud is still hanging on and growing but it hasn't bloomed yet. The plant is only about 12 inches tall and I am impressed.

PS- I also ordered Rachel (full name Fleming Island Rachel) and I think the pictured brug more closely resembles that one.

Colours change with time of year, cameras and monitors, soil types etc. CG image may have been a very late season pic taken when it was cold and that would account for the differences in colour depth of this bloom. Often the 'mottled' look comes from the slowness of some cells to show their colour. What is mottled when the bloom is young often losses that by the second or third day.Sometimes a bit of a virus in the genes causes it. I had a Rosamond once that never mottled, yet another grower in Iowa had one that was always mottled and held it on every bloom it produced for the length of the bloom.

Well, I finally broke down and ordered one. I fought it for 11 days and lost. Are there any support groups out there (other than the enablers?)
This brug business is almost as bad as gambling, or some of the other vices.

I don't know byrd, you're a magic man as far as I can see with your brugs. That's amazing. One of these days I am going to visit your garden, that's a promise!

PA at least there's no stigma attached to being a plantaholic. lol

    Thanks Karyn,

maybe we should start a support group. Just kidding.
It's all CB's fault, he showed it to us.
