April series could be what you need.
However, they do not flower from Jan. to March in
zone 6, instead they may just start flowering
at the end of April.

You need to set some protection on them for the first
few years. And you may also need to find some acid
composit under old, big pines to change your soil.

I am also in Utah (West Jordan). I purchased the 'Winters Snowman' ice angel camellia from Cliftons two years ago. This last winter is the first time it bloomed for me, but it did bloom quite nicely from November to early January.

I did have to do quite a bit of amending, also. With the alkaline clay that I had to work with, I ended up digging a hole about four times the size of the root ball, and replacing two thirds of the soil with an acidic soil mix.

I have not had to cover or protect it, however, it is planted fairly close to my house (within 4-5 feet), so that may afford it some measure of protection from the winter.
