I would like to plant a small orchard of mixed fruit on my farm up in Maniwaki Qc. I would like to know what sort of fruit trees would be good. I would like a wide variety as opposed to 5 varieties of apples. I have always wanted an orchard, ever since I read The Story Girl (by L.M. Montgomery) where the family had anorchard but the fruit was named after the family member that had planted it. I always thought that was kind of neat. Irrellevant I know, but I want to know also, how big the trees should be before transplanting them and how much I should pay.
