This is the first year bloom, three flowers. It should be cold hardy like that of other C japonica.

By the way, I used to live at Hurst and worked at Ft Worth years ago. I still own a piece of Texas, a lot at Benbrook Lake area, Ha,Ha,Ha.

It is a beautiful camellia flower. The white color is very bright. How big is the flower?. You keep trying with same parents. It is very striking the core group of anemone-shaped stamens. Are they petaloid or are stamens?. A flower with red petals, alternating with white petals, it would be a sensation.

Hi, Okintos, The flower is as what you are seeing, between medium to large slightly. The center has some petaloids in creamy yellow color. I had three blooms this year, no gib. The wide red strip/s can variable among all three flowers. I am trying all kinds of new flowers, including fragrant, cold-hardiness, reti hybrids ------.

By the way, I was in Spain last year on a cruise ship.
