Yes but the blooms are not as cold hardy. You can plant selected varieties that bloom early in the Fall or late in the Spring if you live in Zone 6 (your post says Zone 9?!?). If your zone is colder than Z6, you will need to grow them in pots in bring the pots inside during the coldest part of the year. I have not heard from anyone in Z5 doing this but maybe someone will chime in.

Check the camellia flower series called April Series (they bloom late... around April) and the Winter Series (they bloom early... in the Fall).
