I have been growing an unusual Camellia species for several years. It is called Camellia amplexicaulis. Originally, this species is from Vietnam. It has huge leaves up to 11 inches in length with medium sized flowers that I describe as 'Bubble Gum' pink. My plant began blooming around the first of September, and it should continue to bloom through mid winter. This species needs to be protected from freezing temperatures, or it would likely be killed or severely damaged.
