I have looked everywhere for this quartzite in Dallas and can't find it. Any ideas?

The overall dimensions of the island are 48" x 147". The depth of the raised counter is about 16". Thanks for you interest. www.drawingdept.com

Any issues with staining on the countertops?

We are local... Who is your white quartzite hook-up?

The owner has not had any issues with staining. Prior to purchase, we obtained a small sample from the supplier. The sample had been sealed appropriately so that the client could test it out at home and feel comfortable with how it would wear with 3 children at home.

I LOVE this design. I plan to remodel in 2 weeks. I will follow this design! I will have an "L" shape (15'x15') kitchen with an 8' island. Would love your advice, if I made a change to the island counterop....with uba tuba granite countertop. Would this all match well?

Thanks for the compliments! The best way to decide if the uba tuba will work is to take a sample of the cabinetry and place it next to the granite (or vice versa). It could be very nice, but it will make for a much darker kitchen then the one in the pictures. We used the white to really brighten the space (and lots of new windows - not seen in the picture). You might be able to bring in some lighter colors in the flooring or backsplash. Good luck!

Ur welcome and thanks so much!!! Another question: What other backsplash colors would you suggest with this quartzite countertop and espresso cabinets?

Since the countertop and the cabinets are fairly neutral - whites and dark browns, you could really go with just about any color. It might be nice to tie in some colors from the rest of your house. Blues, greens, greys, whites - any of those would work just fine. Have some fun with it!

Where in Toronto, ON can I get this countertop?
  • PRO

Sorry, but we are not familiar with the Toronto market. I would do a Google search for granite/stone suppliers and make a few phone calls. Someone should be able to help you out. Good luck!

Thanks anyway, I'll check into it.

What's the radius on countertop edges?
  • PRO
The edge is an eased edge. It's generally the smallest radius that a fabricator feels comfortable fabricating.

The countertops look like White Macaubus Quartzite. In Dallas, Allied Stone carries this.
