New Camellia

This new camellia should be registered at International Camellia Society. It is still in propagation stage in China. A plant will be released in U S this year to a nursery. It is of 25% reti, medium size flower. Three colors, center of very pale yellow, petals of white and the petal edge of pale purplish pink.

A very nice white bloom! Any word on plant height and winter hardiness or is it too early to know?

It will be the 3rd year to bloom. Yet the original plant is rather short, not more than 3 feet( might be due to the root or culture). I was surprised that the plant was only 1&1/2 feet to flower. I do have two other grafted plants, growing much taller. The plant has already registered affiliated with International Camellia Society of China Region. It is a 25% reti hybrid. It might be hardier than that of reti.
I shall give one plant to a nurseries this winter in U S for their evaluation.
