I have it here in upper zone 7a, but it has not bloomed yet. I would make sure you give it a protected microclimate. And maybe some actual protection the first 2 or 3 years.

Dave - I have a NW facing wall on my house that I was thinking of putting this. It gets only a bit of later afternoon sun, and the next house is only about 20 feet away. The is probably the most protected spot I have. Has this grown well for you? How did it do in the cold winter of 2010?

Sounds good. Mine was very small when I put it in the I didn't baby it too much. It was in dry shade and still hasn't grown much. It seemed to laugh at the cold.
