Species plants can be true from seed but hybrids will not. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Pink Futurity is a hybrid. Of course why would you want to reproduce species plants from seeds when you can grow beautiful hybrids vegetatively.

There were four hybrids developed a few years ago that grow true from seed. The hybrids are Tropical Rose, Tropical Red, Tropical Salmon and Tropical Yellow.

If I remember right, I think Robert Kemp grows true from seed. And maybe c. purpurea?
