I am amazed at the bright orange antennae?

I see them on occasion and am always enthralled with their color.

Great picture. Thanks for sharing.

Too cool!! My first thought was that you'd have to wear an armour like that to be around 'dung'. LOL!

Wow, what a beautiful creature! It's like a gold-laquered rhino! I love those orange things--like joeppyeweed mentioned. Thank you for posting--it's a reminder of how exquisite any insect can be if someone takes the time to notice.

Thanks, y'all! I'm glad you're as taken with him as I was!

Cool creature feature! :) Thanks for sharing.

Sherry,

Here's a Lao beetle that you can include in your horror flick--not as pretty colors as yours. My little Lao friends brought this to show me.

Sandy

Now that's a big dude, Sandy! My rainbow beetle wasn't nearly that big, just colorful!
Sherry

Ms. Sherry, I always enjoy your pictures!

Now that is a beautiful beetle! Speaking of dung, my aunt seemed rather horrified when I was hiking with her recently to see a butterfly (Fritillary, as I recall) wander around on the ground and then settle on the dog poop to get to the good stuff. :)
